What is SMAP?

SMAP stands for Shot Machine Abrasive Polishing, a technology that combines shot abrasion and polishing, however, SMAP is not a shot blasting process.

Shot blasting features

Uniformly aligns the surface appearance in a short time
Improved wear resistance due to surface hardening, etc.

Mass projection and quick surface polishing
Polishing process can be carried out even if the surface is uneven

100% dry polishing environment

Dry operation without any oil or water means easy cleaning afterwards
SMAP work area is sealed, the abrasive media does not scatter around.
SMAP does not use water or oil, so the work area does not fog up during processing, and the abrasive media can be removed with an air blower after processing.

Flexible parameter settings

Operators can easily and freely adjust the polishing parameters by changing:
Injection speed, Injection (media) amount, and the nozzle width

Abrasive media regenerateable​

Abrasive media can be regenerated within the SMAP machine, helping to reduce costs
Regeneration is simple using the "regeneration kit".
Once the core has worn out, regeneration may not be possible anymore.

A movable nozzle has been successfully developed to take advantage of the characteristics of the SMAP media!
