Low-profile design with 75mm workpiece mounting height

Lightweight design enhances operability

Repeatability accuracy ±10µm

Amazing facts!

── Introducing ideas and technologies ──

The 5-axis machining machine vise eliminates the need for intermediate plates by mounting according to the pallet used, thereby reducing the workpiece mounting surface height.
This maximizes the machining area of the 5-axis machining center, enabling the processing of diverse workpieces.

This is the point!

Mid-plate-less design for low-floor & lightweight construction

Excellent!

★ Lower floor supports increased workpiece holding rigidity and improves processing stability

★ Without an intermediate plate, the installation matches the pallet directly

Development / product concept

“Current status and challenges”

  • When installing a standard machine vise on a 5-axis machining center equipped with a dedicated pallet, differences in mounting holes and other features necessitate an intermediate plate between the dedicated pallet and the machine vise.
In such cases, the following issues arise:
    • The height to the workpiece mounting surface increases, reducing the machining area.
    • The fixture becomes heavier, potentially exceeding total weight constraints.
    • Due to the fixture’s weight, the load on operators during setup changes becomes significant.

“Development points”

  • The 5-axis machine vise eliminates the need for intermediate plates by mounting directly onto the pallet, simultaneously reducing the overall vise height.
  • This maximizes the machining area while reducing weight. Lowering the machining point position also enhances rigidity during machining.
